BANGLADESH'S FIRST SELLING COMPETITION

Anyone can build.
Can you sell?

A five-week sprint to take your product from first outreach to verified revenue. Real customers. Real money in the bank. Winners take home investment — not a trophy.

This is not a hackathon.

Building has never been easier. Selling is the hard part — and the part nobody teaches. Sellathon is a competition where the only score that counts is verified revenue: new customers, sourced and closed during the sprint, with proof.

Verified revenue only

Bank, bKash, or Stripe proof — or signed contracts we can call and confirm. No LOIs, no promises, no cousins.

Quitters fund the winners

Finish every weekly milestone and your deposit comes back in full. Drop out and it rolls into the prize pool.

Investment, not a trophy

The champion takes real investment on published terms, awarded on stage at the Dhaka finale.

Five weeks. One motion.

You do the prep before the clock starts. Then four weeks of nothing but selling — every single day.

PRE-WEEK

Narrow

Lock your ICP, sharpen your offer, set your price, and name your first 50 prospects. Pick your channels: cold email, cold calls, showing up in person — any mix, your call.

Gate: approved ICP + offer + 50-prospect list + outreach plan. No submission, no leaderboard.
WEEK 1

Outreach

Volume. Hit your daily outreach minimum across your chosen channels and get into real discovery conversations.

Milestone: daily activity log + first live conversations
WEEK 2

Pipeline

Turn conversations into second meetings and demos. Understand the problem, qualify hard, book the next step.

Milestone: pipeline report — every deal, every next step
WEEK 3

Close

Discovery to decision. Proposals out, objections handled, price negotiated without folding.

Milestone: proposals sent + first closes
WEEK 4

Collect

Close week. No new lessons — office hours and deal surgery only. Get money in the bank before the cutoff.

Milestone: verified revenue, with proof. Leaderboard locks Sunday night.

Weekly live session

One 90-minute core session every week, plus optional deep-dives from the speaker lineup.

Daily office hours

Every day, Bangladesh evening. Bring a stuck deal, leave with a next step.

Public leaderboard

Every team's milestone status, conversations booked, and verified revenue — visible to everyone, all five weeks, at sellathon.org.

The deal is simple.

1

Apply free

Application-only. You need something sellable — a product, a service, a freelance offer.

2

Put down ৳5,000

A refundable commitment bond, not a fee. Finish and it all comes back. We make nothing from participants.

3

Do the work

Clear the pre-week gate, then hit all four weekly milestones. Show your evidence. Stay on the leaderboard.

4

Get it all back

Full refund at the finale, in front of everyone. Winners take the investment on top.

Who should apply

Founders, freelancers, and small teams in Bangladesh with something real to sell. You don't need a polished product. You need the stomach to hear no fifty times and keep dialing.

You have a product, service, or offer that can take money today
You're a founder or operator based in Bangladesh
You can sell every day for four weeks, plus a week of prep
You'd rather be judged on revenue than on a demo

Questions you're about to ask

When does it start?

Dates are being finalised. Join the waitlist and you'll hear first, before applications open publicly. Cohort 01 is planned for late 2026 with the finale in Dhaka.

Do I need a registered company to enter?

No. Sell first, incorporate when you have customers. You need to be based in Bangladesh, 18 or older, with something people can pay for today. The only place an entity matters is the prize: the champion forms one to receive the investment.

Do I need an existing product?

Yes. Sellathon is about selling, not building. Enter with anything sellable, even rough: a software product, a service, a freelance offer, a physical product. Ideas without something to sell aren't eligible.

Can students enter? Can teams enter?

Both. Student teams, solo freelancers, and small companies are all welcome. One entry per product. Universities that want to put a group of teams forward: see the sponsors and partners page.

Is it free?

Yes, beyond a refundable ৳5,000 deposit. The deposit is a commitment bond, not a fee. Finish every milestone and you get every taka back at the finale. Deposits that are forfeited go into the prize pool, never to us. We make nothing from participants.

How much is the deposit, and when do I pay it?

৳5,000, refunded in full at the finale when you finish. You pay it only after you're accepted and your pre-week submission is approved, so nobody pays before they're really in. If ৳5,000 feels like a lot, that's the point: it should hurt enough that you show up every day.

What counts as revenue?

New, paid revenue from customers you sourced and closed during the sprint, verified through bank, bKash, or Stripe records, or signed contracts our team confirms directly with your customer. Pre-existing customers, LOIs, and promises don't count.

Can my customers be outside Bangladesh?

Yes, and we want them to be. There's a Best Global Deal award for the team that sells beyond Bangladesh. Proof works the same way: bank, Stripe, or Payoneer records, or a contract we can confirm.

Can I sell to other participants, friends, or family?

No. Deals between cohort teams, or with related parties, don't count toward the leaderboard. Verification includes calling your customers, so don't try it.

What happens if I miss a milestone?

You get a 48-hour cure window, once. Miss that and you come off the leaderboard and forfeit the deposit. Documented emergencies are handled case by case. Withdrawing because you changed your mind is a forfeit.

How much time does it take?

You're selling every day for four weeks, plus a prep week. The live session is 90 minutes once a week. Daily office hours are optional. If you can't put in real hours every day, wait for a later cohort.

When are the sessions, and in what language?

Evenings, Bangladesh time, online, and recorded. Sessions are in English. Office hours run in English and Bangla.

Who verifies the numbers, and is my customer data public?

A small verification team checks records and calls customers directly. Proof documents are seen only by that team. The public leaderboard shows your team, milestone status, conversations booked, and verified revenue, with customer details redacted.

What do winners get?

The champion takes real investment on published terms, awarded on stage. Runners-up take cash boosted by forfeited deposits plus sponsor credits. Category awards for First Close, Biggest Deal, and Best Global Deal. Everyone who finishes gets their deposit back, a certificate, and a seat at the finale.

Where does it all happen?

Fully online: live weekly sessions, daily office hours, and a WhatsApp community. Only the finale is in person, in Dhaka. Date and venue announced with applications.

I'm a university, a sponsor, or I want to volunteer.

Go to the sponsors and partners page. Universities can amplify the call or send teams. Sponsors get a five-week audience of founder-sellers. Volunteers review milestones, moderate the community, verify revenue, and crew the finale.

Can I share this with my class or my team?

Please. There's a one-page flyer you can send, print, and pin up.
